  3. Hi, I have lyme disease and have frequently been on plaquenil only in the summer as stronger drugs are used when I'm not in the sun and I've yet to experience this. But I do know that it is often used to prevent and treat malaria and that many drugs that deal with such things have a tendency to cause some crazy dreams.
