Hi, i had a question about anxiety medication in relation to bi-polar ii that I wanted to ask: I have very bad social/general anxiety which ALSO causes me to have NO attention span. Thank you for posting your query at Doctor I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through. (I know this because I have tried every ampehtamine there is). I have tried Buspar, Lexapro, Brintellix, Zoloft and Prozac. Anxiety symptoms/ co morbid disorder is vey common among the patient of bipolar 2. I have gone through the list of medications that you have been and i failed to find the mention of paroxetine or venlafaxine which are two very good medicines for anxiety. I also used to be on Wellbutrin but recently went off and actually feel a little less anxious so thats also said she doesn't want me to take benzo's since they become less effective over time/are addictive. Yoi should definately discuss these two options and infact paroxetine is considered drug of choice for anxiety disorder. I am currently on trial taking 10mg of propanol daily; it helps but only a TINY amount... Secondly i differ from the opinion of your treating doctor that benzos are so unsafe that they should not be tried. Srikanth Reddy Hi, Thank you so much for the advice. I have plenty of ky patients on benzos like clonazepam and they have improved with them andni could withdraw the benzos as well. We actually had a lengthy discussion where I think paxil was mentioned but I'll ask again. Ofcourse i used them with either the paroxetinen or lexapro or venlafaxine . However my one concern is that Paxil is an ssri; and I have usually had bad side-effects on those. I was wondering if Paxil is unique and also what you thought of these two medications: Latuda and Emsam. Another doctor told me that Emsam might be helpful whereas my current doctor said that should only be a last-resort medication. how to take doxycycline Please welcome our newest member, Jane Dolores.202 Guest(s), 10 Registered Member(s) are currently online. Hi, I'm 24 I have been diagnosed as having bipolar depression, severe anxiety and OCD. I have no friends, just my mum and she's sick of me. I'm taking 100mg of Zoloft (for about 8 years now) It was recently up to 200mg, but my Dr was going to change it but while weaning off them I got so depressed and started having suicidal thoughts and there was a episode where I started cutting again. I suffer from fits of anger- I mean I just lose it over nothing. I'm either feeling numb inside-not caring about anything, overly sensitive-crying at everything or angry at everything. I don't want to be so mean, but it just explodes out of me. She doesn't realize the thought of people out there is worse than the thought of growing old and dying alone. I'm going to speak to him to see if I should go back up to 200mg because I 'm still not coping that well. (I was never an angry person, even at the start of my illness) It's a psycho rage attack, screaming, verbally abusing people - never physical(I've never used physical violence on anyone except myself) I'm worthless. I feel that they judge me on my appearance and that they know that I have to wear a wig because of my trichotillomania. And let's face it why would anyone want to be around me. I'm not sure if the Zyprexa is doing anything for me. I'm terrified to be in public places and have on numerous occasions suffered from panic attacks. I feel such confidence and trust in my Dr, I'm scared if I tell him all I feel, he'll turn me away, like my psychologist did, when during a bad manic episode he ignored my calls for help, got the receptionist to do it too. My sleep patterns are weird, I sleep at least 11- I5 hours every day. I mean I was suicidal, had sliced up my arms severely and nearly overdosed. The next time I had a appointment he said it was our last and that was that.
